Account deletion
Effective date: 2026-07-30
You can delete your WatchWA account from App Settings at any time. Deletion cannot be undone, so save anything you need before confirming.
Delete in the App
- Open WatchWA and go to Settings.
- Choose “Delete account” and read the scope and consequences.
- Request a verification code sent to your current email and enter it.
- Enter the explicit deletion confirmation and submit.
- After completion, the App clears local sign-in state and returns to visitor mode.
Accounts using Apple sign-in
An Apple sign-in account must complete a fresh Apple authorization during deletion to confirm the current identity and complete the required authorization revocation. If Apple’s revocation endpoint fails once, the service retries once automatically. If both attempts fail, the account is not deleted locally and the App asks you to retry later. This prevents a half-completed state where the account is gone but Apple authorization remains active.
What we delete
- Account profile, sign-in sessions, and refresh tokens.
- Lists, list items, price alerts, notifications, and push tokens you created.
- Product events and application settings directly associated with the App account.
- The account-linked user identifier is reset in Amplitude; the service will not send new App events using that account ID.
What does not disappear
WatchWA global market data is maintained by the collection pipeline for all users. It is not personal data created in the App and is therefore not removed when one account is deleted. Limited records required for security, legal compliance, backups, or service operation may also remain until their necessary retention period ends.
If you cannot sign in
If you cannot open the App or complete the flow, email service@watchwa.com from the current account email with “Account deletion request” as the subject. Do not send your password, verification code, or complete payment information. We will perform the necessary identity checks before giving next steps.
Deletion questions
A completed deletion usually cannot be recovered. To sign out of one device without deleting the account, use “Sign out” instead. See the Privacy Policy for privacy rights and retention details.
