Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-07-30
This Privacy Policy explains how WatchWA handles information when you use watch-market searches, lists, alerts, and account features.
1. Who we are
WatchWA is a market-intelligence tool for watch-trade professionals. Contact service@watchwa.com for privacy questions, rights requests, or security reports.
2. Information we collect
Account information: when you register or sign in, we store your email address, display name, avatar when provided, sign-in method, and the stable account identifier returned by a sign-in provider. Google and Apple identifiers help us recognize the same account; we do not automatically merge accounts just because they share a public email address.
Product data: lists, list items, price alerts, notification settings, and preferences that you create. Searches and requests you submit are processed to return market results and protect the service.
Operational and security data: request times, errors, device platform, App version, language, authentication sessions, and necessary security records. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
3. How we use information
We use this information to create and secure accounts, provide market results and alerts, remember settings, detect abuse, troubleshoot failures, improve the product, and send essential sign-in, verification, account-security, and service-operation emails. We do not sell personal information or use your account email for unrelated advertising.
4. Product analytics and error monitoring
Amplitude helps us understand feature usage and whether product flows work. Product analytics from the App is limited to an opaque user ID, App version, platform, language, login state, and necessary event attributes. Search analytics records only query length, result count, and the final model ID opened; it does not send raw queries, email, name, phone number, seller identity, or quote text. Amplitude may process this information outside your country or region.
Sentry helps diagnose crashes, errors, and performance. Its context is used to identify App version, platform, and error source; we do not intentionally send passwords, verification codes, raw queries, or quote text as monitoring data.
These services provide diagnostics through SDKs or network requests. This legal site itself loads no Amplitude, Sentry, advertising, or other third-party tracking scripts.
5. Service email and third parties
Service emails for verification codes, password or email changes, and security notices are currently delivered through Cloudflare Email Service (Email Sending) as the primary provider from WatchWA <service@watchwa.com>; Resend is used as a fallback if Cloudflare is temporarily unavailable. The mail providers receive the email address, subject, and body needed for delivery. Google, Apple, Cloudflare, Amplitude, Sentry, and Resend process information only as needed for their respective services and under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Data retention
Account information and the lists, alerts, and other data you create are retained while your account is active so we can provide the service. After a completed account deletion, we delete application data directly associated with the App account.
Authentication data has short, purpose-based lifetimes: refresh sessions last up to about 7 days and rotate; verification codes are valid for about 10 minutes; the raw product event stream is retained for 30 days under the current system policy, after which daily aggregates may remain for analysis. Security and legal-compliance records may be retained for the period necessary for those purposes.
WatchWA global market data comes from the service collection pipeline and is not personal data created by an App user. It may remain after account deletion because deleting one account must not remove historical market data used by other users.
7. Account deletion and your rights
You can start “Delete account” from App Settings. The flow verifies a code sent to your current email and requires explicit confirmation. Apple sign-in accounts also need a fresh Apple authorization for the required revocation step. If Apple revocation is temporarily unavailable, deletion is not silently completed and you can retry later.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information about you, and you may object to or request restriction of particular processing. Contact service@watchwa.com; we may ask for identity verification to protect the account. You may also complain to the data-protection authority with jurisdiction where you live.
8. Security and changes
We use password hashing, short-lived access tokens, refresh-token rotation, and access controls to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. When our processing or legal obligations materially change, we will update the effective date on this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App or service email.
